Taiwan sex scandal

95% of Taiwanese men recognise this room.

I have always wanted to talk about this topic but never had the guts to. Think I am just afraid of being divergent.

Yes, I know it is probably a little late to be expressing my point of views related to this incident now. It happened during August, in case you are living in a cave had not read about it. But hey, nothing is ever too late right? :)

Anyway, a summary to this highly scrutinised sex scandal.

The main character of this scandal is Justin Lee aka 李宗瑞 (27), son of a multi-billionaire in Taiwan. He was a fugitive allegedly involved in socialite drugging and raping several women and about 60 women were oblivious of being videoed and photographed.

Just as you start to think, 'What is there to discuss about his topic? He is just another one of those atrocious sex maniac who deserved to be castrated and then get analed in prison or just execute him directly.'

However, I see this differently. No doubt he deserves severe punishment but I see more than 'just another' brutal rapist.

(FYI, he is now facing up to 30 years in prison for drug rape.)

Money

At the beginning, Justin denied the sex crime charges filed against him, claiming that all the women were all consensual partners and they were aware of the presence of the camera. According to Justin, he was authorised to film the process and the models and actresses were willingly posing sultrily in order to please him.

He even revealed that some actresses threw themselves at him and was unable to get rid of her.

I believed this one sided story. Gullible, you think I am.

But think of it from another angle. The life span of an actress is very limited. They tend to lose their number of fans as their age increases, unless you are really talented. However, it is undeniable that most celebrities gain fame via their outer beauty and revealing big amount of flesh. Just saying.

As they grow older, they tend to get replaced, then forgotten. And most celebrities are big spenders because money came in so easily when they were at the peak of their career, hence the value of greens was not appreciated. However, what they have neglected was the fact that the duration of time maintained on that point is nonetheless just a blink of an eye. This is the reason why most celebrities tend to live a sorrowful live once they leave the entertainment industry, for the inconceivable amount of money earned is also wasted in an unimaginable amount of time.

Therefore, for a smarter investment, female celebrities try hard to get attached and settle down with a rich men before they loses their natural glow, in assurance for a good quality of life in the future.

I do not sound that gullible to you now, do I?

The only way I can think of to conclude this point is, none of these would have happened if Justin wasn't an heir of a billion dollar company.

Power of the legal world

(These thoughts emerged before Justin admitted that he drugged the women with rape drug purchased online.)

In accordance to Justin Lee's society status, I assumed his dad would have employed (all) the best lawyer(s) in order to prove his son's innocence. And it is well known that all the good lawyers have the capability to turn white to black, hence I have always thought that Justin will soon be released and return to his usual lifestyle, being a socialite.

Apparently not. I didn't see that coming, that he would have admitted guilty himself. Sigh, was rather disappointed though. Not really disappointed disappointed la, if you know what I mean. I am just looking forward to amaze myself with the miracles lawyers make. How they are able to retrieve a dying man from hell.

Childhood education/upbringing

Justin is actually an illegitimate child. His father abandoned him and his mother after his birth, to return to his own wife. FYI, Justin's dad is a father to five, with four mother. Wah, win.

His mother was an owner of several drinking bar in Taiwan. She was so occupied with work that she did not have time to be spent with Justin. All she could offer Justin was to satisfy him with his materialistic lust. Also due to her lack of time to take care of Justin, he grew up staying with his uncle who ill treated him.

Justin led a miserable childhood but all these changed in a split second, when his grandmother realised he was the eldest grandson of the Lee family tree. She demanded that he 認祖歸宗.

It was as if Justin had awaken from his nightmare, stepping his foot into neverland. He has everything he wants and all the attention he needs. He soon realises, quote Justin, '我要的東西,沒有得不到的', that is 'I get whatever I want'.

He became rebellious and was causing problems.

Instead of spending time communicating between two generations, Justin's mum decided to send him to the States, hoping he would developed independence. Unfortunately, Justin's behaviour never changed, it exacerbated instead. He developed an even bigger splurging habit of TWD 7 million per year!

Children who grew up in a broken family feel vulnerable physically and mentally. They are invariably frightened and confused by the threat to their security, they feel that their lifeline is in danger of being cut. Researches show that these children are noted more instances of delinquent behaviour, early sex activity and continued academic issues.

Although a legal settlement of the child's custody may be mutually consented upon both parents but the children stand to miss be deprived of their right to have a happy and emotionally healthy family relationship. A child needs both the parents equally.

Parental love and support is a key to the healthy physical and mental development of a child. When a single parent has to play the role of both and fulfill the responsibilities of each while juggling a a job simultaneously, it is impossible to do so in the long term as either the career or the parenting will take a back seat. And could it get any worse when a single parent decided to leave his/her child under guidance of another party who mistreats them.

Justin did not choose to be born in such a family. All people sees in him, is an f*cking rich heir who knows nothing but splurge and bangs women, without anything to worry in life. Do not judge a book by its cover. You have no idea what he has been through.

Do you really think Justin was happy? With all the money he has and 'friends' who constantly suck up to him. Do you think he was truly satisfied with life?

I believe all he had were just temporary pride and egoism which demolishes once he is alone in his room. It is not even surprise if all he had done (taping sex video and showing it to his friends) are just in seek of something he lacks of since the day he was born, attention.

In addition to that, I hope all parents and you (who will become a parent too one day) understands. Do not send your children overseas just because he was causing troubles at home. What (s)he needs is extended love and care from you. All those problems caused might just be an excuse, solely to gain your attention.

I realise some parents, especially those with better financial, tends to send their children abroad at an early stage once noted that they were embarrassing the family. This parents tend to think that their child might hopefully gain independence once they started living alone. But what they have not considered is that, these 'problematic' children do not learn to grow up when their filial parents are still sending them large amounts of money to ensure they are not suffering alone in some random stranger country. See the irony. Not only are not helping them overcome their problem, but you are exacerbating it.

A parent's love to their child

Despite what a huge mistake was made, the humiliation brought to his family and the harm caused to the society, have you noticed how Justin's parents never gave up on him, but provided him unlimited support. Sad but (may be) true, this might be the only time he felt as much loved and cared from his parents.

Personal safety

Do you feel at risk?

After reading articles related to this scandal, its noted how he targets victims in the club, drugging them with drugs purchased online and then take sexual advantages. All these were done in an unmindful state of the victim and it is already too late to react once the victim gained consciousness.

It is scary to think how much technologies have affected our lives. I am pretty sure no one can now survive without a smartphone or any of those cool gadgets. And have you thought of how much we have endangered our lives via these existence. The access one gets through the internet is inconceivable.

Friends

Choose your friends wisely! I remember reading related articles of Justin scolding his 'good friends' who had abandoned him in his time of need lol.

Evidence

Justin has been performing such callous acts for years and he would not have been arrested if he had not recorded or taken photos for his own pleasure.

Yes, these photos may be taken mainly for your own memories where you would look back one day and think how juvenile you once were.

Therefore, I advice all you lovey dovey couples to avoid taking obscene photos during le sexy time or what so ever. Who knows they might accidentally fall onto someone's hand, which may ruin the rest of your life. Like what happened to this girl here.

I have no idea how I managed to blabber so much and I doubt any of you actually took time to finish reading it lol.

In my personal opinion,

Justin is not bad at heart, he is ill.

He needs help and support from both his family and the society. Stop pointing fingers. Think of how much he has been through, especially during the first decade of his life. The most important and powerful years of ones' life. The child's memories fashion the adult's life. Every day of adult life is touched by the memories of childhood experience. And yet, his was a total nightmare. I believe that to Justin it isn't just a decade of bad experience but a dark shadow that follows him for the rest of his life, forever and forever.

30 years is a very long time. He would be 60 by the time he is released from prison. I disagree that he deserves to be kept behind bars for such a long period. He deserves another chance, a chance to change and even repay back to the society.

And I realised I called him Justin throughout the whole post, as though we very friend like that LOL.

How to cope with stress

It's tough being a girl.

Life itself is hard enough, yet we get another unpleasant visit monthly. I don't mind it coming each month really, it's just the pre-symptoms that annoys me. Who else here rage super duper sien hormones before menstruation?

It bothers me a lot. I tend to get very emotional and have all sorts of ridiculous cravings that can't be satisfied.  And these symptoms are exaggerated by stressful life events, like STUDIES wtf. I am never a studious person. I am more into beautician, arts and crafts. Although I am not very talented either but at least they gain my interest.

However, such is life. Life isn't perfect, it's how you decide to look at and deal with it that makes a whole wide difference.

Mindset

I think this plays the most important role. It's only when you're contented with the things you have, you'd realise that life can actually be full of colours. If you keep comparing yourselves with the high-end society, you will never be satisfied with what you already have.

Think about the children in rural areas, in the orphanage and also children in the hospital wards who are suffering from chronic diseases. Have you ever taught of or come to a realisation of how much effort they have put into just to live another day longer. Or how it felt being brought to Earth without the love and care from their parents. And there you are ranting and whining over minor matters.

To be upset over what you don't have is a waste of what you already have.

Eat healthily

 STRESSED    DESSERTS

It is alright to pamper yourself with desserts occasionally if it makes you happy but the truth is, sugary food enhances stress level. Sugar causes your blood glucose level to spike and then fall quickly, which directly dampens you energy level. And to accommodate stress, a large amount of energy is required.

This does not imply that you should boost your energy level with food that contains caffeine, such as coffee or tea. No doubt these drinks are able to refresh a tired person but at the same time, a stressed individual is already anxious and further stimulation may result in aggravated anxiety, or worse, sleepless nights.

By eating healthily, I refer to having a balance diet and not asking you to eat rabbit food. 5-a-day is a program held in several countries including the United Kingdom, United States etc. It encourages people to eat five portion of fruits and vegetables a day and each portion is approximately the size of your fist. And 5-a-day options like asparagus, blueberries, kiwis, almonds are not only good stress relieving food but delicious too!

What about meat? Omnomnomnivore needs meat too! Well, beef and tuna are excellent choices! Beef contains high levels of zinc, vitamin Bs and iron, which are known to stabilise your mood while the latter is low fat high protein, providing you energy to fight stress. But do bear in mind, be it fish or meat, be sure to opt for lean options and avoid the fats!

Exercise

Research has shown that exercise is the best way to release stress. It improves the heart's function by strengthening and enlarging your heart, thereby increasing oxygen level and lowering fat levels such as cholesterol and triglycerides. On the other hand, it is also a enlightens you mentally due to the release of endorphins, a mood regulating neurochemical that is often deprived in patients suffering from depression.

I personally feel that exercising (or not) affects my mood profusely. These symptoms are obvious during my day off when I would spend the entire day under my duvet, in my pillow lazing around at home. I would feel happy the whole day just to find out those were only temporary and the happiness sinks as the sun set. However, my happy hormones (wtf) tend to expand continuously if I hit the gym that day. Not only do I feel good, live healthier and I look more toned too! Isn't that like hitting two birds with one stone! Make it three!

Er...I actually gained a bit recently but it's alright, CHUBBY IS CUTE. *self proclaim yi xia la.

Make time for your hobbies

Sometimes the stress level is highly elevated if you focus too much on a particular event. Drift your thoughts and worries, spend some time doing some things you truly enjoy. Be it watching a movie, picnicking with a couple of friends, or taking a short trip.

Things I enjoy doing mostly involves decorating, be it on food, body parts or any objects. The Hello Kitty meal shown above was prepared by yours truly too, in order to release certain unexplained unhappiness last week. And surprisingly enough, it cheered me up instantly and also the following few days whenever the image pops up in my mind. :)

Prioritise

We try to achieve excellence in all areas of work- we have achievement in studies, work and what definitely want the best for our loved ones, giving them what they deserved. Subconsciously, we yearn for a perfect living which we know it is impossible to obtain.

The inability to maintain our own self-imposed demands begins to cause stress and breeds feelings of inadequacy. Maintaining a large number of priorities and realising how we are drifting apart from each priorites eventually leads to frustration and burnout. You soon feel that everything is out of your control and nothing seems to comes in your way.

Setting priorities isn't only about having good time management (although it does play a major role in helping you attain your achievements). It is more of determining what gives you the greatest satisfaction in life, things that bring you genuine happiness. Some people determine their self-worth by their achievement in work while others judge by their child's achievement or harmony within a family.

It is solely dependent on you to determine what you want and strive hard for it in that direction. Yes, there may be unpleasant outburst on the way to achievement. Do not feel defeated when things slip out of control, pull yourself together and conquer whatever is coming your way.

No matter how hard things may seem, I always believe there's something good coming around.

Ending this long wordy post by simply inserting my narcissistic face. And stay tuned for more updates!

Why girls apply make up?

Girls who wear makeup are FAKE!
Girls who wear makeup are PLASTIC!
Girls makeup because they are UGLY ON THE INSIDE!

wts!?! But seriously, this is what we get so frequently. Just because we wear makeup, it doesn't mean that we are fake, plastic nor ugly on the inside? We apply makeup to enhance our natural beauty, to conceal our flaw, hence being more physically alluring. Why do guys or even girls who do not use makeup tend to make such a big fuss over it. I just don't get it.

Statements we often hear:

1. God created human being to be good looking in their own ways and you should love how you 'naturally' look too.

Yes, and God created you with crooked teeth too. Why do you even bother using braces or invasalign. God created you with black/blonde hair. Why did you dyed it?

This is so unfair. Getting braces and hair colouring is acceptable only because these are done by both sexes. Isn't this the same theory? Yet you do not see people going around calling you fake cause you once had braces.

2. Girls wear makeup because we forget that our confidence lies within us and not upon those layers of chemicals. Forget the makeup, show us the real you!

I will not deny that applying makeup does boost the self esteem of an individual. But I still do not get the logic? Guys shave too. Can I then say guys tend to lose their confidence as their facial hair grows? I do not even know what am I talking about wtf.

Beauty ------> Confidence ------> Success ------> Happiness

In case you do not realise, make up helps build up confidence, which indirectly leads to success hence happiness.

Making up does not only increases our confidence, it is also a kind of courtesy. I am sure the sight of a room occupied by ladies in dull complexion and dark eye bags is quite unpleasant. In contrast, would not it just enlighten your day instantly if you enter a room greeted by happy girls which bright, healthy complexion? A good appearance is a way of respecting yourselves and only when you learn to respect yourself, other parties will start respecting you.

Try visualising this, if you were to assign one of your employee to meet a client, who would it be?

Left, who looks barely alert nor intellectual (no offence though) or right, who is looking readily prepared and boosted with confidence.

In addition, a study here indicated that ladies who apply makeup to work tend to get pay 20% more than ladies without makeup. So it is not appropriate to point fingers that applying makeup is solely us girls' fault. You too, are paying us a higher salary as a consequence.

And what else is new? Erm,..girls makeup to attract a man's (or men) attention more? Gee that's new. Oh come on. Stop denying and say you admire natural beauty and all and how much a girl with makeup looks like a statue. As if none of you were into pretty/hot/sexy celebrities like snsd, megan fox, scarlett johansson etc. Do you think you would still idolise them if they appear on tv like these?

Pictures credit to google.com

Ok, they are not that ugly but you get my point.

If these are not enough to convince you, then let the wisest man talk, dear God. We are created by him and so did he inserted a hormone within us girls that is released during the anticipation of applying makeup. This hormone is called dopamine.

You think I am making this up to strengthen my point of view of girls' applying makeup, you can choose to ask Mr Julian Ryall from Tokyo. This is a research unraveled by a Japanese scientist, dated 21 Jan 2009. It proves that women anticipate a rush of anticipation and optimism as they prepare to apply makeup, due to the reward system in the brain function.

 FAKE!
 OMG! A ROW OF PLASTICS!
 SO FAKE!!!
 UGLY PERSONALITIES!!!
 PLASTIC! FAKE!!!
 FAKER!!!!
YOU MUST BE SUPER UGLY ON THE INSIDE!

Annoying much?

SO STOP CALLING US FAKE !!!

We have feelings too you know. And this is just repetitively hearing (seeing) these words 7 times, and you are annoyed already. Think about us, who innocently judged guilty for we endeavour to look our best.

Think twice or thrice before pointing fingers again because if you truly thinks that females who applies makeup is indeed fake and plastic, then I am sorry that your mother and bride (-to be) were fake during her wedding ceremony. I feel so sorry for you, for you are so lifeless to a certain degree that you were forced to marry a plastic. :(

All women deserved to be appreciated, respected and admired and every woman defines her own beauty.

In pursuit of prince charming

Seeing so many of my friends updating their relationship status while I browse through Facebook, from single to in a relationship, to engagement and to marriage. Some even updated us with a photo (or more) of their new born infant. Of course I do feel happy for them but at the same time, it makes me wonder, how do they know (s)he is the one they want to live with for the next 50, 60 years of their lives?

Yes, I have been into a couple of relationships but none of them lasted. And even when my closer friends asked about them (referring to the ex-bf), I would always (without fail, yes.) answer:

'Him ah? Good boyfriend but not a good husband.

Er, yea, that was the answer I gave while I was still attached. I don't know but I feel that wasting 20++ years of my life, I have not met any husband-material guy.

They are either too bad tempered, expenditure > income, too inconsiderate, too immature for my liking, or mundane. All these cons are acceptable as a boyfriend cause I can bear with them for a year or two but if you ask me live with some retards for the rest of my life, I rather remain forever alone.

However, you realised, I never complain about their appearance. To me, whether a guy is good looking or not, it does not matter. It is his heart and mind that attracts me most.

Maybe that's why I am still single and unwanted. I do not consider as much previously when I started a relationship because I tell myself, they are just my boyfriends. I will find a better man to marry in the future.

Which explains the pause now. Cause I am reaching the age where I hold responsibilities to my future, who I date now has a huge possibility to becoming my husband. Eh, this is serious work can. No more fooling around, no more puppy love, no more romantic drama scene, for life is cruel.

Aiya, if you are thinking why the hell am I so desperate, I am not. It's just that I am raging depression hormones tonight and I do not know who to confide, so I am pouring some of my thoughts here. I mean, who does not want to love and be loved?

Although frankly speaking, I believe who we are meant to be with, is (partially) destined since the day we were born. And people like me (who is too demanding and complains too much about how a guy is not good enough) tend to end up being single for the rest of their lives. If that happen one day, I will join the 姑婆村created by my high school friends and live happily ever after. The end.

I just miss how life was, when everything was so simple.

Was trying to hide my non-glamorous bra strap if you are wondering /blush

Dear October please be good to me

There is no real success without rejections

Reading everyday's papers, I realized that commit suicides due to break offs/broken hearts have become (much) more common than before.

I say, committing suicide is not only hell but also plain stupid! For the other party may be having a hell of a time while you were committing suicide, and secondly, that way your love will never be able to come back to you. Last but not least, think about your family, and friends, who care about you.

Sure you will feel devastated after a broken relationship. Your heart may ache and you will get sleepless nights. All these are understandable as in a relationship, you are emotionally attached. A part of you is attached to the other party and it's been cut, yet still attached. The pain is as though your arms were cut, while you were holding on the other party.

Just bear in mind,

"There is no real success without rejections. The more rejections you get, the more you have learnt, the closer you are to your outcome."

Shift your thoughts and concentration, emphasize on building your future. And one day when you decided to pay your ex a visit, you are bound to realize he is no longer the same person you knew, be it physically or mentally. (S)he may no longer be the person you loved.

One day, we might look back and thank god for those failed relationships that have helped you grow yet not getting stuck to the d*ckhead. And you will realize, good times, bad times, they are all the pass now.

Quality family time during my summer vacation back home. And what best was my second brother and his family flew back too. It's our SECOND family gathering in TEN FREAKING YEARS!

Mind spilling

Omg! I am truly sorry for the procrastination. It has been almost a month since my last blog post!

Anyway, I am sure most of you are aware that I am now seated in my entertainment room, typing out this post. That's right. I am back in Malaysia! but not for long for this is just another of my summer vacation, and also my last. Yes, I will be graduating next year and I have been thinking a lot recently. Thinking about my future plans. What should I do after graduation? Should I get a pre-reg in Uk? or in Singapore? or even come back? or find a rich man and get married and live happily ever after.

Frankly speaking, the latest option is my first priority. I yearn to come back. Most of you might think that this is one silly choice for the amount of money I will be earning here is peanuts compared to what I get in Uk. Also not to mention the brighter future Uk will be providing me. But, my family is here and I seriously want to be by their side. And also other more complicated reasons. (complicated is just a word used as an excuse, truth is, I am lazy to elaborate teehee)

I shall not speak too much at the moment for nothing is confirmed yet. All I can do now is to hope for the very best, and that everyone around me stays in good health.

Random pictures time! But not a lot cause I have not had enough diligence time yet.

Went out with my babes few days ago, spending the night chilling at the Junk, reminiscing the past. <3

The ONLY thing I bought from Paris. *pout
Ok la, not really. I got another Eiffle tower bracelet and some souvenirs. :)

Most of my pictures in this post are from instagram. Follow me at angelicjin is you had not. Relatively new there, I know I am very backdated cause I can't be bothered initially but boredom is killing me so yeah hehe. <3

Super cute photo of Annabelle taken during my brother, nephew and niece's birthday celebration last week.

And last but not least, my nails. I know right. I insanely completed these two sets of nails yesterday afternoon. I am just too bored. Nevertheless, I enjoy doing this. I truly think that my life would be happier if I were a manicurist rather than a pharmacist lol.
